I could very well speak of them individually as Danger Mouse and then continue on with Sparklehorse. However, their collaboration on Dark Night of The Soul is too good. A collaboration of not just Danger Mouse & Sparklehorse but of so many other amazing artist creating a beautiful musical masterpiece. It is worth listening to every song. Massive Attack knows how to make music that is interesting and chill at the same time. Their songs are fluid and fit just about any atmosphere. They are the kind of music you would always be cool with listening to. Their newest album, Heligold, features awesome vocals from artists like Mazzy Star and Damon Albarn from Blur (and that’s just some).

There is no way to categorize Atlanta based band Social Espionage. The bands two members, Lucas Conor and Mark Mosca, have created a sound that doesn’t fit into any one genre of music leaving the listener with a collage of electronic beats and “angst driven vocals”(which is too good of a description…I had to steal it from them). There is definitely a hint of hip hop influence in their music which is a result of their other ventures in the Atlanta music scene. Their EP Talking To Strangers is out now and they will be spreading the word on their upcoming west coast tour this fall.

This Canadian duo is made up of Ethan Kath and Alice Glass. Ethan found Alice and asked her to do some vocals on top of his instrumental recording. Instantly they had something unique. Apparently they put on one hell of a live show which is something I hope to see very soon. Until then I will be satisfied listening to their electronic happy sad music.

Since the song above features HEALTH I thought it only right to bring them to attention. They have been described as noise rock and experimental which i feel is probably fairly accurate. Mainly I like this song and wanted to share it.

Made up of two Australian guys by the names of Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore, Empire of the Sun presents us with a mesmerizing sound and fantastic get ups! Luke Steele was actually from the band The Sleepy Jackson during which Nick Littlemoore co wrote some songs until they created this amazing band. Their sound is magical and soft. I would want to listen to them if I was going on some epic quest or just doing stuff around the house.
